Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Golf Track collects, why we use it, when other people can see it, and the choices available to you.
Effective and last updated: August 25, 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Golf Track iPhone and Apple Watch apps, the Golf Track website, and related services. In this policy, “Golf Track,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Golf Track service.
Information we collect
Account and contact information
When you create or update an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, password credential, home course, and account identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier and any name or email information Apple makes available based on your choices.
Golf, fitness, and app content
We store information you choose to record or share, including rounds, scores, scorecards, putts, fairways, greens in regulation, penalties, tee selections, clubs, expected and measured shot distances, shot locations, pin locations, round notes, achievements, and other golf statistics.
Social features may store your friend connections, likes, comments, messages, live-round reactions, reports, blocks, and Game Day match information.
Location information
With your permission, Golf Track uses precise location during a round to calculate GPS yardages, map your shots, estimate weather conditions, and support live-round features. Shot coordinates saved with a round are stored with that round. When you enable live sharing, current location and position-derived information may be stored temporarily and shown to the audience allowed by your sharing settings.
You can deny location permission, stop location access in your device settings, or turn off position sharing for a live round. Some GPS and shot-tracking features will not work without location access.
Apple Watch and HealthKit
The Apple Watch app requests permission to run a golf workout session so automatic shot detection and location updates can continue while your wrist is lowered. Golf Track does not read HealthKit samples, save workout samples to HealthKit, or upload HealthKit data to our servers.
Device and service information
We may collect an Apple Push Notification service token, device platform and notification environment to deliver notifications. Our servers may also process standard technical information such as IP address, request time, response status, and error details for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. Golf Track does not use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use information
- Provide, synchronize, and improve Golf Track features.
- Calculate scorecards, handicap-related insights, statistics, achievements, and club-distance ranges.
- Provide GPS, weather, shot tracking, live sharing, and Apple Watch functionality.
- Deliver notifications you enable.
- Operate friend, leaderboard, comment, message, Game Day, and moderation features.
- Protect accounts, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and maintain service reliability.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
When information is shared
We do not sell personal information and we do not use personal information for cross-app advertising or tracking.
Depending on the feature and your settings, your profile name, golf activity, scorecards, comments, leaderboard results, or live-round information may be visible to friends or to people with a share link. Live position is included only when position sharing is enabled for that live round.
We may use service providers to host and operate Golf Track or deliver platform services, including Apple services such as Sign in with Apple, WeatherKit, HealthKit authorization, and push notifications. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and golf information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account in the app from Profile, then Player Settings, then Delete Account. Account deletion removes your profile, rounds, scorecards, saved shots, bag, device tokens, comments, likes, and friend relationships from the active service. Trust-and-safety records may be retained when reasonably necessary to document and enforce reports, blocks, suspensions, or legal obligations.
Limited information may remain temporarily in backups or server logs until those records expire. You can also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@golf-track.com.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Children
Golf Track is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age that applies where they live. If you believe a child provided personal information contrary to this policy, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
International processing
Golf Track and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your home country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Golf Track changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. We will provide additional notice in the app when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
